                        Chinese Gender Chart – It is said that Chinese had made a gender chart about 800 years ago and is now in the Institute of Science in Beijing, calculate the Chinese age of mother at conception and Chinese lunar month at the time of conception, the cross reference of these two factors in chart shall tell the gender of the baby.               

                        Needle or Wedding Ring Prediction Method – attach a needle, pin or wedding ring to a thread or strand of a hair, hold the dangling item over the belly of to be mom lying on a bed, a strong circular motion predicts the baby to be girl while a pendulum motion predicts a boy.

            Other Method of predicting ‘When Can You Tell The Gender Of A Boy' are:                                  Drano Gender Prediction Method – get the first morning urine of mother in a medium glass jar and go outside, add approximately two tablespoons of crystal Drano to the urine and observe, if the color of the mixture changes to brownish in 10 sec. then the baby is a boy; no color means it is a girl

                        Baby's Heart Rate – a heart rate of 140 and above indicates a girl and heart rate below 140 indicates a boy.

                        Ultrasound Picture for Baby Gender Prediction – It is said that a picture is more than thousand words, Modern technology provides the picture of the baby in the mother's womb, level 1 ultrasound taken anywhere between 15 and 25 weeks can find out the gender, level 3 tests done by perinatologists at 12 to 14 weeks can find the gender, ultrasound test done around 20 weeks should predict a baby's gender.

Ultrasonic method is most reliable and predicts baby gender at very high confidence level.

There are many methods which can be used to determine the gender of your baby. There are many traditional ways of telling gender your baby after you get pregnant. Best method to determine your baby's gender is to go for medical tests. Best procedure which is used for determining baby's gender is Ultrasound, but when to go for ultrasound for determining gender of baby or when can you tell the gender of a baby. The earliest time when ultrasound can detect the gender of a baby inside mother's uterus is 12 weeks. Most of the doctors don't go for gender recognition before 16 to 20^th week of pregnancy. Ultrasound cannot predict the gender of your baby until it is laid in the right position. Apart from ultrasound there are two more tests for determining the gender of your baby. These are amniocentesis and chronic villus sampling (CVS). This test is generally performed to determine genetic disorders and various other complications. In this test amniotic fluid is taken out from around the baby. So,you can tell the gender of a baby by using amniocentesis. This test is done when the pregnancy is 16 to 20 weeks old. A needle is inserted into the abdomen to extract amniotic fluid. The greatest risk in this test is that miscarriage may happen after the test. This test is recommended for those women who are above 35 years of age and are pregnant because there is increased risk of Down's syndrome in the baby. This test reveals chromosomal disorders, 200 single gene disorder and gender of fetus.

When can you tell the gender of a baby by using Chronic Villus Sampling test? The answer is 10 to 12 weeks from last menstrual period. Tiny tissue sample is taken from the place where the fetus is developing and then this tissue is tested for various disorders and gender of baby. This test also reveals any chromosomal disorder, baby gender and 200 single gene disorder. This test tells the gender of baby earlier than above two methods but this method involves highest risk of miscarriage. You should not go for amniocentesis and CVS test until your doctor advises to do so. Ultrasound test is very costly and is not covered by insurance in United States.
